Joseph Naszady

A little more about me
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, the piano wasn’t just an instrument—it was an extension of who I was. From my earliest days, I was drawn to the way music could express emotions that words couldn’t quite capture. That passion led me to classical training, but as I got older, I found myself captivated by jazz, hip-hop, and the limitless possibilities of production.

I believe music is all about exploration, storytelling, and connection, and I’m always excited to see where the next project takes me.
Biography
Joseph Naszady, known artistically as Naszdaddy, is a pianist, producer, and composer whose sonic world bridges jazz, folk, hip-hop, and R&B. From intricate piano voicings to lush, genre-blending productions, his music is a conversation of innovation—where raw emotion meets meticulous craftsmanship.
Born into a musical household, Joseph began playing the piano at the age of two, laying the foundation for a lifelong dedication to his craft. His 16 years of classical training gave him a deep technical understanding of harmony and form, but his curiosity pushed him beyond the boundaries of classical music. Over time, jazz became a primary influence, introducing him to artists like Billy Childs, Chick Corea, and Allan Holdsworth, whose harmonic complexity and improvisational freedom inspired him to develop his own voice as both a player and a composer.
At the same time, his love for modern production led him to explore the sonic textures of hip-hop and R&B. Producers like Noah “40” Shebib, Kanye West, and Nick Mira shaped his approach to groove, space, and atmosphere, while folk music’s storytelling traditions gave his compositions a raw, emotional depth. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary—a fusion of intricate jazz harmonies, warm analog textures, and evocative songwriting.
Currently based in Boston, Joseph is pursuing a dual degree in Songwriting + Music Production and Engineering, with a minor in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. His time at Berklee has been instrumental in refining his production and recording techniques, expanding his network of collaborators, and pushing his creative boundaries. In addition to his solo work, he leads and plays keys in his jazz fusion trio, The Apparatus Trio, blending live instrumentation with modern production techniques.
Whether performing on stage or sculpting sound in the studio, Joseph’s approach is always rooted in emotion, vulnerability and storytelling. His compositions invite listeners into a world of nostalgia, groove, and deep musicality.
With several projects in the works, Naszaddy is focused on pushing the boundaries of genre and production. His upcoming releases with his trio or solo, promise to merge the sophistication of jazz with the raw energy of hip-hop and the organic warmth of folk and R&B. As an artist, he is driven by the idea that music is a space for exploration—an endless journey of discovery, emotion, and connection.
Stay tuned for new music and collaborations, and follow along as Joseph continues to explore the melodies.
